Time to bare the soul here!
Since my father in law has fallen things have been a we bit crazy. I am just off at times. Missing sleep, not eating 100% correct, not getting my Bible study in each morning like I should, and short with my patience.
Not only those things but my goals get thrown off track. I have goals and it has been a long time since I have set goals for myself. So for them to get thrown off track, it is hard for me to get them back on track.
I also feel more distant from God. That right there is more important than anything. It has taken me a long time to realize, “If I am not close and next to Him and turning to Him, nothing in my life goes right and I am completely off kilter.”
This morning I was doing my Bible reading/journaling (It isn’t beautiful like so many make it, it is more writing what He is saying to me than anything else) and He reminded me that I am a part of the Trinity.
John 14: 6-17 talks about knowing Jesus and that He is the way to the Father and that if you know Him you know the Father and even though They will not be here on earth for us we have the Holy Spirit within us.
So I was doodling out a crosswords like puzzle in the Bible with Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. Then I was doodling it on my arm as a reminder for the day and He gently nudged me as a reminder that I am a part of that crossword puzzle as well. We are all joined. We are all connected. We are all a part of each other.
(I kind of had this reminder last summer as well, which makes me think I may not fully be getting it yet)
Have you had any gentle reminders from Him lately? I am choosing to be positive. I am choosing to put Him first. I am choosing to make the changes I need to make with Him by my side. He never lets me down.
