Hot Essential Oils

YLEO spOILed logo

Some people are not bothered by hot oils at all and some people are. Do you have sensitive skin? Do you look at Young Living Essential Oils and have no clue what would be hot or even what a hot oil is?

Do not worry, we are here to help!

The easiest way to explain a hot oil is that it can feel warm/hot when you apply it. For me when I apply Young Living Peppermint Oil on the back of my neck to help relax myself the warmth does not bother me at all. But other locations is does bother me and so I will add a carrier oil (Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Grapeseed Oil, etc.).

When you are unsure if you are going to have a sensitivity to an oil, be sure to start small, start with a carrier oil and start on the feet (1/2 teaspoon carrier oil to 1 drop Young Living Essential Oil).

Always use a carrier oil for babies and young children; especially with hot oils. Most babies and children have  sensitive skin (far greater than adults do).

Young Living Essential Oils that are the popular ones that are hot: Young Living Clove Essential Oil, Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil, Young Living Oregano Essential Oil, Young Living Thieves Essential Oil. Young Living Essential Oils that you will want to consider using a carrier oil: Young Living Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil, Young Living PanAway Essential Oil, Young Living Wintergreen Essential Oil.
